Personal Income Tax Services will prepare and electronically file* all of the required schedules and documents in accordance with Federal, State and Local tax guidelines. Electronic filing of your returns helps to ensure accuracy and provides confirmation of government agencies receipt of your tax documents. You will also receive your refund in a more timely manner. Our clients will be provided with an electronic (PDF) copy as well as a paper copy of their returns. The client must provide a valid email address to receive an electronic copy of the return.

*Some tax returns cannot be electronically filed.

Partnership, LLC and LLP Returns

Our clients will be provided with an electronic (PDF) copy as well as a paper copy of their returns. The client must provide a valid email address to receive an electronic copy of the return.

Kevin has been a local resident in the North Hills community most of his life. After graduating from North Allegheny High School, he earned an Associate’s Degree in General Business from CCAC. He went on to graduate from Penn State University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Kevin spent four years working in regional accounting firms in the states of Virginia and Pennsylvania and a number of years working in the mutual fund and corporate tax fields while successfully growing his own company, Personal Income Tax Services, LLC. Personal Income Tax Services has been in business since 2002, growing steadily each year. Kevin resides in Marshall Township with his wife and 3 children. He is also a professional real estate agent, licensed through Northwood Realty.

Administrative Assistant

Deborah has been a local resident in the North Hills community all of her life. She is a graduate of North Allegheny High School. After raising a family, Deborah attended Winebrenner Theological Seminary where she obtained a Certificate in Seminary Studies. She is an Ordained Minister for the Churches of God General Conference. When she is not busy during tax season, she enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren

Should you file your own tax return

I have yet to see a free Federal file tax program provide the state income tax return for free as well. The cost of importing your tax information from the Federal Tax return to the state income tax return ranges from $9.95 at the low end to $39.95 and higher depending on how complicated your tax return is. There are other problems with free tax software as well as paid tax software when it comes to importing the data from the Federal income tax return. In many cases, states offer other deductions and credits that the IRS does not. Unless you are well versed in your state's income tax law, it is very easy to omit these helpful cuts to your state tax return.

If your tax return is in fact simple, it can make sense to do it for free using some of the free file options. As you grow financially and in life, it is probably best to seek professional assistance. You will certainly get a better understanding of the “whys” of your tax return to better serve you in the future.

At Personal Income Tax Services, LLC, we encourage you to give us a call to complete your income tax needs. Our tax prep fees are based on complexity. We also provide you with a paper copy of your return and PDF copies as requested.

If, however, you feel like you can complete your return on your own, by all means, give it a try. Personal Income Tax Services, LLC will look over the return for free (even current tax year). If we find no changes, there is no charge. If we do find any substantial mistakes, we can amend your return and get you the money you deserve. Amended return fees are based on complexity.
